Caprica TV Series

Zoe Graystone

The television series Caprica is set as a prequel to BattleStar Galactica. It is a fictional universe that was set around 58 years before the events occurred in BattleStar Galactica. The series tells a story about humans who were living in the colonies that created the first robotic life forms know as Cylons. The engineered Lifeforms would later join hands together to bring down the destruction of the human race in  Battlestar Galactica due  to their being enslaved by humans.

During the Caprica Era, there were 12 colonies who had being coexisting in peace amongst one another. Colonies all sprang from a single world called Kobol, from which 13 tribes set to colonize the space. 12 tribes settled near each other while the thirteenth tribe colonized a planet they called Earth.   The colonies live more as sovereign nations which included colonies like Sagittaron and Aerelon which were lesser colonies. This colonies later on unified their government and named themselves the 12 colonies of Kobol. The colonial seal became their official symbol.

The center stage of this drama was set around two troubled relationships. This relationship is between two families, the Adamas and the Graystones. It shows how two families are going to affect what the human race will face in the near future. It bases it self on love and ethical decisions people make in their lives everyday.

The Adamas include Joseph Adama who emigrated from Tauron to Caprica, who is the future father of the Battlestar Galactica commander William Adama and also the grandson to Lee Adama. Joseph Adama is an influential defense attorney with ties to organized crime underworld. Daniel always carried a silver lighter when ever he had a case in court, he believed that the silver lighter brought him good luck. His wife and daughter were killed in a suicide bombing. Joseph will be a political opponent of the Graystones which own a corporation that manufactured cylones on the colony of Caprica.

The Graystones include Daniel who is a genius in his own way and a computer scientist. His unfaithful wife is Amanda who is an amazing surgeon and their daughter Zoe. Zoe’s  boyfriend was a religious fanatic who was responsible for the terrorist attack that killed Zoe and Adamas wife and daughter. Before she died she left an imprint of  digital self on a computer which she named Zoe-A. Her father was so grieved of her death that he decided to create a robotic version of his daughter using stolen technology, raw materials and her imprinted image of herself she left before her death. He later called it Zoe-R. Daniel was able to transfer his daughters consciousness into the Zoe-R.This was the beginning of the creation of cylones.
