Esai Morales – Joseph Adama: Esai plays a role of Joseph Adama (a future father of  William Adama, the famous Battlestar Galactica Commander). He is a Tamara’s (Genevieve Buechner) father and a Shannon’s (Anna Galvin) husband, which both die in a terrorist attack which sets all things in motion  as seen in a pilot. Originally from Tauron, Joseph Adama emigrated to Caprica and changed his surname to “Adams” in order to better fit in and avoid the prejudice to which his people were often subjected. Over the years, he became an influential defense attorney, but was notorious for his ties to the organized crime underworld, which helped finance his education. In the aftermath of a deeply personal tragedy, he forms a bond with Daniel Graystone, which leads to their collaboration and eventual rivalry. Joseph also has a strained relationship with his son, William.

In a Caprica series, Joseph is a civil liberties lawyer, and will become a major opponent to Graystones robotic research, which will lead to Cylon wars. Full biography

Eric Stoltz – Daniel Graystone: Daniel Graystone is a whealty computer scientist, a brilliant Caprican computer engineer. He is also a successful businessman, one of the richest people on the planet and CEO of his own technology firm that invented the Holoband, used by people throughout the colonies to engage in virtual reality escapades. His pioneering work in robotics takes an unexpected turn when, faced with the fallout from a family tragedy, he begins to blur the line between organic and machine-based life. Involved in robotics research after a death of his daughter Zoe (Alessandra Toreson), he finds out that she made a virtual copy of herself and tries to revive her through his research.

This will lead to AI robots and cylon wars.

Alessandra Toreson – Zoe Graystone : Daughter of Daniel Graystone, she is a briliant computer wizz which led her to making her virtual copy. As seen in a pilot she dies after escaping home in a terrorist attack from her boyfriend. Her virtual copy will be used to make a “Cylon Eve”. Full biography

Magda Apanowicz - Lacy Rand: Lacy is Zoe’s best friend who escaped the terrorist attack because of her fear of leaving home. After Zoe’s death, she introduces Zoe’s father to virtual Zoe by using the holographic headband. She is a follower of a sect which believes in one true god, and that sect is responsible for the terrorist attack on an hover train that killed Zoe.

Sasha Roiz - Sam Adama: Samuel Adama is the brother of Joseph Adama, and an enforcer for the notorious Tauron criminal organization H’la’tha. He came to Caprica, along with his brother, as an orphan in the aftermath of the Tauron Civil War. He has a very close relationship with Joseph Adama and is deeply affected by the tragic circumstances surrounding the Adama family in the wake of terrorist activities undertaken by Caprica’s monotheistic cult. He has proven himself to be a loyal and effective soldier in H’la’tha’s efforts to exert its influence Colonies-wide.

Polly Walker – Clarice Willow: Clarice Willow is a High Priestess of Athena and headmistress of the Athena Academy, the school attended by Zoe Graystone, Lacy Rand and Ben Stark. Despite her position in the Caprican religious hierarchy, she is, in fact, Sagittaron-born and harbors a dark secret when it comes to her spiritual beliefs. Given her close relationship with several of her most influential students and her devious and duplicitous nature, she’s sure to have a significant role to play in the future of colonial life on Caprica.

Avan Jogia - Ben Stark: Ben Stark is Zoe’s boyfriend, and also a follower of the terrorist sect. He is responsible for the terrorist attack in which Zoe and Adama’s family died.

Genevieve Buechner - Tamara Adama: Tamara is Joseph’s daughter, killed in a terrorist attack.

Anna Galvin - Shannon Adama: Joseph’s Adama’s wife and Tamaras’s mother, also died in terrorist attack like her daughter.

Paula Malcomson – Amanda Graystone: Zoe’s mother and The wife of tycoon Daniel Graystone is a formidable force in her own right, with a steely will and a successful career as a surgeon. Devastated by a tragic turn of events, she embarks on a quest to discover the truth that lays behind what she knows about her daughter, Zoe.
