Esai Morales was born in October 1962. He is an American actor, who is known most for his role of the famous Bob Morales biopic “La Bamba” released in 1987. He also played a role in the PBS drama related to an American Family and in the Famous Show time series called the “Resurrection Blvd”. Recently he has also played a major role of the character called Edward Beck in the CBS drama, “Jericho”, and is believed to be a spokesperson for the Allstate insurance.

It has also been decided that he will appear in 2010 as Joseph Adama in the Caprica, which is a prequel to the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. Esai Morales was born in Brooklyn city of New York. His parents were Puerto Rican (Iris Margarita, who was a union activist involved in the works of the international ladies garment workers union). Morales began his acting career after he had attended the school of performing arts in Manhattan. He has also performed professionally at the theatre and on television in New York City for the first time and his first movie released in 1983, “Bad boys”, which is based on the life of teenagers in prison, was a great success.

A number of other roles in films such as “The Burning Season” released in 1994, “My Family” or better known as “Mi Familia” released in 1995, and “Disappearance of Gracia Lorca” released in 1997, have also reflected most of his social and political interests.

Apart from this, he also did a number of other movies that hit the box office like “Southern Cross” which was released in 1998. He also performed in other movies in 1989 and 1994, for example, “Bloodhounds of Broadways” and “Rapa Nui” which were both box office hits. Morales has usually been given the roles which easily highlighted his increasing amount of screen time in his acting career. He also portrayed a role of a police officer in the famous film “Dogwatch” which was released in 1996. As a senior character, later in 1996, he also played the role of a father in movie “The Virgin of Juarez”. Esai Morales disappeared from the television world in the mid 1980s at the time when he was famous.

He also co-starred with a number of other Hollywood actors such as Burt Lancaster in the mini-series “On Wings of Eagle” done by NBC television. Esai Morales also played a role in “Miami Vice” series, “The Equalizer” series and “24”. He guest starred in a number of episodes like the “Outer Limits”, and “Tales from the Crypt” series, along with “La Doctors” and “The hunger”. He has always been considered as a good actor in the world of television and movies. He contributed his reputation by acting in a number of movies including “American Fusion”, “Vanished” and “Gale Harold” early in 2007. He is considered as a renowned artist of his time.
