Episode 01 – Pilot
Zoe created her virtual self in a virtual reality disco-like place where young people spend their time. After a big fight with her mother Zoe decides to leave Caprica along with her boyfriend Ben Stark and Lacy Rand. Just before they enter a train Lacy decides that she cannot leave and stays behind. Ben Stark, being a follower of a terrorist cult, strapped with explosive kills himself in an terrorist act along with many people which include his girlfriend Zoe, Adama’s daughter Tamara and wife Shannon.
Joseph Adama meets Daniel Greystone and they quickly become friends through their loss.
Two weeks after the bombing, Lacy comes to Zoe’s house and uses holographic headband to contact virtual Zoe and thus reveals existence of virtual Zoe to Daniel. Daniel then captures her virtual existence and tries to combine it with his knowledge to “revive” Zoe.
The one missing component is a chip designed to give artificial intelligence to a robotic being. Daniel convinces Joseph to steal that chip and uses the chip to implement virtual Zoe into a Cylon robot. Which at first fails but by using that AI chip an successful Cylon soldier is created and put in an demonstration to Caprica government.
In an episode’s end we see that Zoe (now a Cylon) awakes on the table and calls Lucy by phone.
